The beauty of nature is woven throughout Walt Disney World Resort, with every branch and bloom artfully arranged into a living tapestry. In this fascinating 3-hour journey, Epcot theme park becomes your “living classroom” as you see firsthand how the garden beds, shrubs, hedges and topiaries are meticulously cultivated to evoke a sense of wonder. We’ll share how the designer’s imagination is only the first step in a complex process that results in these extraordinary botanical backdrops.

Canada Pavilion LandscapingTravel behind-the-scenes and learn about the five principles of the Disney horticulture program and the important role landscaping plays in creating the perfect setting for each Resort and Theme Park. We’ll take you to the World Showcase at Epcot to examine how the carefully planned landscaping is a crucial element in conveying an authentic sense of place for each of the 11 nations’ pavilions.

You’ll also take some of the magic back home with you as our experts share simple and successful gardening methods you can use in your own garden.

Tour Information

Time & Location: Offered seasonally during Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival. In 2012, the tour is available March 7 – May 20 on Tu, Th, F at 9am.  Guests meet outside Epcot in front of Guest Relations on the far right side of the turnstiles.

Duration: 3-3.5 hours

Cost: $60 + tax (Discounts Available: AAA Diamond, AP, DVC, Disney VISA)

*Disney’s tour schedules and content can change at any time due to a variety of factors. Rest assured, if for some reason the tour can’t or doesn’t go to one of the stops you’ve read about here or on other websites, your Tour Guide still has plenty of magic up their sleeves to make sure you have a wonderful tour experience.

Photography Restrictions: No photography is permitted during the backstage portion of this tour.  Most of the tour is onstage, so bring your camera.

Bag Storage: Guests carry their baggage with them.  If you don’t want to hold your bag throughout a 3 hour walking tour, consider getting a locker at the front of the park.

Additional Notes: This is an outdoor walking tour – dress appropriately, wear suncreen & good shoes. Disney will not cancel or provide refunds for this tour (or most others) in the event of inclement weather (Disney will cancel for hurricanes, but not average rain).
